General Update: Dev Sites and Magnemaze Perfect Score Fix

By now anyone who visits this blog must be wondering what the Shower Thoughts guys have been up to. Well, the answer is fairly complicated because the three of us have all been doing stuff independently while still occasionally working on projects together as well. For more specifics on what we've each been up to, check out each of our independent blogs  at the links below:

Adam Gincel - http://adamgincel.com/
Brian Intile - http://www.gman8r.com/
Kevin Quigley - http://www.hydegriffen.com/

On a slightly different note, while working on new Magnemaze levels, we did discover one new incorrect perfect score.

Level 32 - Flip
Current Perfect: 11, Real Perfect: 10

Magnemaze Incorrect Perfect Scores

Currently, we have found two Perfect Score Errors in version 0.4. These errors will not be fixed until the next update, however, they are listed below so that players are aware:
  • Level 56: Not Like the Others - Perfect: 21
  • Level 59: So Close Yet So Far - Perfect: 26
If you find an error and are prompted to send us the error report email, please do so so that we can ensure our players are accurately informed of the best possible number of moves as they challenge a level.

Magnemaze Update: Version 0.4

A new update providing 10 new levels, a new music track, the new logo, and some minor bug fixes has been released on Google Play and Amazon, making it available on Android and Fire devices. We know iOS is very late, but there have been difficulties to say the least. The newest version of the game is being prepped for iOS release now and hopefully we will have a smooth launch this time around. Thank your for your patience iOS users, and everyone should expect many great changes to come with the next set of levels.

What to Expect

This summer there will be a number of new releases and updates coming from Shower Thoughts. Magnemaze will be releasing its next update in the very near future with more updates to come in hope that the free version of the game will be completed by August. Additionally, we expect to see substantial progress if not completion on the paid version of Magnemaze as well as a shipped iOS edition of the game on the Apple App Store. You can also look forward to a lot of clean up and added features to Spherical Saunter in addition to the announcement of multiple new Shower Thoughts titles. We are excited for all of the awesome projects we'll be working on over the summer and encourage those interested to contact us with thoughts or ideas!

Mr. Game! by Margrave Games Kickstarter

Our friends over at Margrave Games launched a Kickstarter for their new board game "Mr. Game!" earlier today. Shower Thoughts co-founders Kevin Quigley and Brian Intile have been playtesting different versions of Mr. Game! for over a year now and we couldn't be more proud of what it's become. Kevin and Brian appear in two of the three promotional videos for the game and Shower Thoughts will continue to support the team until they make it big and beyond.

Here is the Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/margravegames/mr-game-the-chaotic-party-game?ref=video

GMCJAM17

STDev is currently competing in the Game Maker Community's 17th Community Game Jam. The theme is "synchronize" and the handicap is "dying in the game has a twisted benefit". Both are optional. With the Magnemaze team reprising their respective roles, they have also recruited an artist for the Jam. If the project comes out well, the result will be available here. For now, we are gonna put up the result of the last STDev team to compete in a jam from last September. Prepare to meet OPAF :)
